A harmonious acid-base balance in our body is necessary for regulated metabolic processes. In the case of an imbalance, many factors such as lack of exercise, stress and nutrition can be pointed to as the cause. As a result, the organism activates the body's own regulatory systems that initiate neutralization of the excess acids or bases and their disposal via the excretory organs. For this purpose, humans use various disposal channels, such as the lungs, kidneys, skin and mucous membranes, which are mainly supported by minerals. The aim is to maintain this ability to prevent acute and chronic inflammation and consequential damage.
